Whoever won Game 5 of the Celtics-Heat series was guaranteed to win the series

I think if the, whoever won that game [Game 5] was going to win the series, Celtics are the better team.

The Celtics won Game 5 and eventually won the series in 7 games.

Returning to the NBA Finals is the crowning achievement for the Warriors' core

This feels like the crowning achievement for this group, to be able to go back there [the NBA Finals] after all the injuries, after KD came and left after guys are in and out and they've rebuilt themselves with that core of Klay, Steph and Draymond, and Steve Kerr there.

The Warriors did return to the Finals in 2022 and won the championship, effectively cementing this as their second dynasty era.

The Warriors would have made eight straight NBA Finals if not for injuries

I'm willing to make a giant excuse for the Warriors for the two out of the eight years that they did not make the finals. It's all because of injuries. Like the Warriors should have been in the finals eight years in a row.

In 2020 and 2021, the Warriors were plagued by injuries to Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. They made the Finals every year Steve Kerr coached them when healthy.

If the Warriors rebound the ball well, they cannot be beaten

I feel like if they rebound, they can't be beat. And low-key, the Warriors are pretty good rebounding team. They're not the soft Warriors that people used to hate on a few years ago. I think they were like top five or top six in the NBA and rebounds this year.

The Warriors beat the Celtics in the Finals, and Kevon Looney's rebounding was a critical factor in their success throughout the playoffs.

Tom Brady helping Mike Macdonald prepare for the Patriots would be a huge slap in the face to the New England region.

That would be egregious if that was true. I don't believe it is true. But if it were, that would be unforgivable. Not unforgivable. That would be a, a blemish, a big blemish. Big time. It'd be a slap in the face of the whole region.

Subjective opinion on how a hypothetical rumor would be perceived.

Jayson Tatum is playing cute by claiming he found out about the Jaylen Brown trade on social media.

I'm sure he knew that he was on the trading block and he didn't know specifically when he got traded and he found out just like everyone else... all Brad Stevens, Jaylen Brown, they talked about how, you know, he was gonna be on the trading block and they were gonna try and move him. So I'm sure Jayson Tatum was also aware of that. But in terms of, he's probably playing a little, a little cutesy there where like no one specifically told him, 'Hey, this is the trade.' He found out like everyone else. But I'm sure he was not surprised and fully aware what the plan was.

Subjective interpretation of Tatum's PR framing.

The Celtics have another major move coming following the Jaylen Brown trade

There's something going on here. I I said it to Max on the boat yesterday. I was like, Jalen Brown was getting traded. I could, I could just feel it. I could feel it coming... I feel like the Paul George thing is, there's the, like, they might be doing another trade. There's another move coming.

The trade just happened in the fictional 2026 timeline provided; further moves are pending.
