I have zero confidence in the Phillies beating the Mets in the NLDS

I wanted nothing more than to play any team but the Mets going into yesterday and like the way everything has gone in the past two days, it's like I have zero confidence in that series.

Max's lack of confidence was justified as the Mets defeated the Phillies in the NLDS 3-1.

Small ball wins in the baseball postseason

Small ball. Mike Socialism. Yeah, bring it back. It's great. Pete Rose would be disgusted by the Baltimore Orioles. Yeah. Swing down at the ball line drives ground balls. Those can be hits. Pop flies can't.

Whether small ball specifically wins more than power in the modern era is subjective and statistically debated, but it's a staple of PFT's sports philosophy.

Daryl Morey is a good talent evaluator but a bad team builder

Daryl Morey has done a lot of good things for the future of the 76ers... He is a very good drafter... He's very good at evaluating talent. He's not very good at putting a team together, which is probably pretty important for a GM.

This is a subjective assessment of a GM's career tenure.
