The Celtics are going to beat the Sixers in five games in the first round

They're gonna win in five. Sixers aren't good. Playoff team, this Big Cat did this exact same thing when the Bulls were in the play-in last year. It means nothing.

Max predicted the Celtics would beat the Sixers in five games. However, the series went to seven games, with the Philadelphia 76ers ultimately winning Game 7 against the Boston Celtics on May 2, 2026.

Rory McIlroy is ducking this podcast and it is a glaring empty spot on his resume

A lot of people are saying that Rory can't go on the big one. That he's been ducking this and that's gonna be the one glaring empty spot on his resume when everyone looks at it, when it's all said and done.

While Rory has never appeared on PMT, the idea that it is a 'glaring empty spot' on his actual professional resume is humorously subjective.

Rory McIlroy would have choked this Masters away if he hadn't won last year

I actually think that if he didn't win last year, this one, he would've probably choked away because he kind of had that huge lead. He had a six-stroke lead going into the weekend. He did not play great on Saturday. Everyone kind of caught up to him. He didn't make any huge, huge mistakes on the back nine because he felt confident.

This is a psychological counter-factual that cannot be proven, but it aligns with Rory's history of major struggles prior to 2025.

Scottie Scheffler missed his critical putt on 17 because he knows the course too much and overthinks it

The putt on 17 just didn't turn at the last second. It was like half a ball that he missed by. Sometimes these guys know the course too much and they overthink the course. It's like if you're married to somebody for like 60 years, all you do is fight. You know, you lose sight of what makes that person so great.

A common golf trope about over-reading greens, though impossible to verify.

Christopher Sanchez is having one of the most dominant and historic pitching months in the history of baseball.

[Christopher Sanchez] hasn't given up a run in the month of May, zero runs. And in that span he's gone eight innings, 10 K, 10 K, seven innings, seven K, nine innings, 13 K, eight innings, six K, seven innings, nine Ks. Five straight games of going at least seven innings while without giving up a run. He's the only person in the past, I think a hundred years to go a full month without giving up a run while having five starts.

This claim refers to a specific modern era record being set in May 2026 within the show's context.

Christopher Sanchez is the most underrated athlete in professional sports.

Christopher Sanchez, most underrated athlete in professional sports. I think he's up to 37 straight scoreless innings now. He's the favorite to win the NL Cy Young over Paul Skenes. The rest of the world would never know it with the amount of time people talk about Paul Skenes compared to Christopher Sanchez. He's an excellent pitcher. He's an absolute stud. 1.6 ERA right now.

Cy Young outcome will resolve in November 2026. The underrated claim is subjective.
