The Sixers must make the NBA Finals or beat the Celtics within the next two years for the Paul George signing to be a success

It's a two year window to at least make we have to at least make a finals. Make a finals play for. NBA finals beat the Celtics NBA finals. We have to beat the Celtics one of these next two years.

Success is subjective, but the specific goal of making the Finals or beating the Celtics is testable over the next two seasons.

Paul George to the Sixers is destined to end in tragic heartbreak

Paul George is the big ticket in the NBA free agency and this is going to be so, so good when they flame out of the playoffs. I just don't see how this is gonna end in anything but tragic heartbreak for Max.

The 76ers finished 24-58 and missed the playoffs entirely. Embiid played only 19 games before knee surgery. The Paul George/Embiid/Maxey experiment was a disaster, confirming the 'tragic heartbreak' prediction.

James Harden was the primary problem during his tenure with the 76ers

[James Harden] is probably the problem, James. I've seen enough close up with my own two eyes to know that maybe I should not trust what you're saying about [the Sixers front office].

This is a subjective assessment of team chemistry and interpersonal conflict.

The Denver Nuggets will struggle mid-season because they let Kentavious Caldwell-Pope walk

Stan Kroenke strikes again, KCP going to the Magic and Stan Kroenke unwilling to pay luxury tax and build. I feel like that was a huge, that's one of those ones that we're gonna look at somewhere mid-season and be like, oh shit, the Nuggets just, they're kind of missing a guy. And it's KCP.

The Nuggets did struggle without KCP. Denver's defense suffered without Caldwell-Pope, and while they still competed, the team was notably less dominant, especially when Jokic was unavailable (4-8 without him). Big Cat's mid-season concern was validated.

Daryl Morey is a good talent evaluator but a bad team builder

Daryl Morey has done a lot of good things for the future of the 76ers... He is a very good drafter... He's very good at evaluating talent. He's not very good at putting a team together, which is probably pretty important for a GM.

This is a subjective assessment of a GM's career tenure.

The Bucks would be idiotic not to trade Giannis Antetokounmpo now

You gotta turn the page and this is the best way to do it. 'Cause you can get real, you get real [picks] and like jumpstart your next chapter. You gotta trade him. You have to, it would be idiotic not to trade him at this point.

Subjective team-building philosophy.

I didn't want the Sixers to make the playoffs because this iteration of the team is bad

This isn't a good team. They're not a good basketball team. I don't know what happened in the Celtics series, but this is who we thought they were. I didn't want to make the playoffs because I didn't want watch this iteration of the Sixers. This team is bad.

While the Sixers were swept, they were a playoff team, making 'bad' a relative term of frustration.
