COVID protocols in college football are driven by fear of lawsuits, not just the CDC

We're so far behind what even the CDC is saying right now in college football, and I think the reason for that is because of the threat of lawsuits. There are a bunch of people out there, the people that run the bowl games... They're terrified of the fact that one person gets sick, and then they get sued for all that they're worth.

A matter of interpretation regarding legal and administrative motivations.

John Madden is the number one football guy of all time

Today is Monday, December 29th, and we start with the passing of, we were saying this beforehand, probably the number one football guy of all time, John Madden.

While subjective, Madden's legacy as a coach, broadcaster, and video game icon makes this a widely accepted opinion in football circles.

Madden is the most important sports video game ever created

it's definitely the most important sports video game ever created. Except fuck the passing cone.

While subjective, Madden's cultural impact and sales figures make this a widely held view in gaming history.

Madden: The NFL should name a new award or the Super Bowl after John Madden

I don't think they should slap his name on something. I don't think that that's the proper homage to pay. They should name the Super Bowl after him. John Madden Super Bowl. They should name football after Madden.

The NFL did eventually rename the Thanksgiving games' 'Player of the Game' or similar tributes, but the Super Bowl remains the Super Bowl.

Garrett Bolles should catch a pass before he retires

I want to be able to bet on Garrett Bolles to have one reception in every game. Because I feel like Sean Payton is going to try to get him that touch. He definitely will because he doesn't want him to retire as the guy who never touched the ball.

It requires Garrett Bolles to record a touch before the end of his career; that has not been resolved here.

The Eagles' offense might be better without A.J. Brown

I actually think that the offense might be better without A.J. Brown.

Whether Philadelphia's offense performs better without A.J. Brown is a season-level comparative claim and is not reliably resolved here.

The Chargers should eliminate their kicking game and go for it every time

The Chargers should just not have a punter. They should not have a kicker. They shouldn't even have like a long snapper on the team. Use those positions on somebody else and you're just—burn the boats. You're just going for it all the time. Fuck it. Who cares? Right? Season's over. Might as well try to score some points.

This is a deliberately satirical roster-building proposal, not a prediction that can be objectively graded.
