I will be addicted to Twitter Fleets within a month

We're actually really going to like fleets. I'm guaranteeing. Give me a month. I'll be addicted to fleets.

Twitter Fleets was a failure and was shut down by Twitter in July 2021 due to low usage.

Nick Foles is not a consistent starting quarterback in the NFL

Nick Foles... He's not good. He's not good at playing football. Like, he's not good at being a quarterback. It's just... Objectively, he's just not. He's just found himself in a couple good situations. Right. He's reached incredible heights, and he's had incredible moments. But, like, game to game, he is not a consistent starter in the NFL.

Foles was benched shortly after this and never reclaimed a permanent starting role in the NFL, serving as a backup for the rest of his career.

The Bears will be chasing the mistake of drafting Mitch Trubisky for a decade

These are the repercussions of missing. When you take a swing for the fences on a quarterback in the first round and you miss, you feel it for a decade going forward. The Bears will be chasing that mistake for a very long time.

The Bears struggled for years to find a QB, eventually moving on to Justin Fields (who also failed) and then Caleb Williams in 2024. The 2017 miss defined the Pace/Nagy era.

The Bears' defense is good enough to win a Super Bowl if they were paired with even an above-average offense.

The defense is good. I think the Bears' defense, it's still... Oh, it's very good. It's a defense that you could definitely win a Super Bowl with if you had an above-average offense. But [the Bears] don't.

While the 2020 Bears defense was top-tier, the offense was never even 'above-average', making this difficult to prove. However, the 2020 Bucs won with a balanced attack, and the Bears' D was statistically comparable to elite units.

Nate Oats needs to teach his players to never let the police look through their phones

Let the Aden Holloway situation be a reminder to everybody that you don't have to let the police look through your phone. I actually point the finger at Nate Oats for this, because Nate Oats, you gotta do a better job of explaining the first through fifth amendments to your players. Given the history that you've had... day one you should have a, get the guys from Morgan & Morgan to come in and be like, 'Do not talk to the police if you're in trouble. Shut the fuck up.'

This is a satirical advice piece and commentary on Nate Oats' coaching responsibilities.

Mark Pope is on the hot seat at Kentucky after this tournament performance

Mark Pope on the hot seat. I think he is. I mean, I think they're gonna bring him back. I think he's safe for this year, but I think he's going into next year. Seat is warm.

Pending — Mark Pope's job status at Kentucky after the 2025-26 season is not yet resolved.

Every major college coaching opening should start by calling Brad Stevens and making him say no

You gotta make him say no. You gotta call Brad Stevens and make him say no. I will personally never stop saying that. He probably wakes up every morning and says no. Voicemail just says, 'Thank you so much for the consideration, but it's gonna be a no.' It would be shocking if he ever took another college job.

This is an opinion on coaching search strategy.
