Invented 'Baldinger's cat' — a quarterback is both elite and not elite at the same time, with Joe Flacco as the perfect example

I came up with a theory. It's known as Baldinger's cat. It's not Schrodinger, it's Baldinger's cat. It's when a quarterback is both elite and not elite at the same time. Joe Flacco — perfect example. Baldinger's cat.

A satirical quantum physics riff on the eternal Flacco elite debate. 'Baldinger's cat' became a recurring PMT bit — one of PFT's most creative Flacco takes.

Game 7 of the 2016 World Series was the greatest baseball game ever played

It was maybe the greatest Game 7 I've ever watched. I mean, I'm not going to say any sport, but definitely in baseball. It was so exciting. It had a little bit of everything.

The 2016 World Series Game 7 is widely regarded by sports historians and fans as one of the greatest games in MLB history.

The Cubs must name Jason Heyward captain next season for his rain delay speech

Jason Heyward had the greatest pump-up speech. $184 million speech is what Theo [Epstein] paid for. A players-only meeting during a rain delay. That's what you give the guy the big bucks... you've got to make Jason Heyward captain.

The Cubs did not name an official captain in 2017. They traditionally do not use the captain designation.

The Cubs do not win the World Series without Kyle Schwarber

I mean, the Cubs don't win the World Series without Kyle Schwarber. No, it's absolutely a fact. I think he had 10 hits.

Schwarber hit .412 with a .500 OBP in the World Series, including a key hit in the 10th inning of Game 7. While impossible to prove they 'don't' win without him, his impact was massive.

Augusta National likely set up Mark Calcavecchia to get caught with a cell phone to prove they still have authority

My theory is that they talked to... a behind the scenes situation where they said, we getting a lot of shit. People are saying that we still don't have it, so we're gonna throw your ass out if you're okay with just saying that he had a cell phone. So I think it might be a setup.

While purely speculative, Augusta is known for extreme measures to maintain its cell phone ban; however, there is no evidence this specific incident was a 'setup' for PR.

I can shoot a 110 at Augusta National

I actually don't think that what I said was that stupid. You said you could shoot 110. I think I could shoot 109. I could break 110. I'm not saying I would do it every time. I don't think so. I think I could do it.

The difficulty of Augusta is legendary. Most amateur golfers, including PFT based on his self-reported 87 on a par 70, would likely struggle to break 120 or 130 on a tournament-ready Augusta setup.

Everyone should be able to break 150 at Augusta National

It was more so the people that were like, dude, you can break 150. I think everybody, everyone here should be able to break 150 at Augusta.

150 is a very high score (over 8 strokes per hole). Most athletic people could likely manage this if they just advanced the ball, but greens might cause issues.
