Mauricio Pochettino is the perfect coach for the USMNT because he grinds his players too hard for a long season but fits a short tournament

The knock against [Pochettino] has been for his club teams that he, he runs them too hard, grinds him, works them too hard. This is the perfect scenario for a guy like that. You can burn 'em out for soccer tips. You've got just a handful of games. Get fired up, get amped up, leave it all out on the field and then go on to whatever your next job is.

Mauricio Pochettino coached the USMNT in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a short tournament. While the team advanced from the group stage and won a Round of 32 match, they were eliminated in the Round of 16 with a 'crushing 4-1 defeat' to Belgium. This outcome does not support the claim that Pochettino was the 'perfect coach' for a short tournament, leading to a deep run where the team would 'leave it all out on the field' for exceptional performance.

Brian Windhorst is 'stupid as f***' for saying the Wizards couldn't trade Trae Young without attaching a number one pick

That is stupid as f*** of [Brian Windhorst] to say. That's just bullshit. That's just not true. Like, are you, the only way you could trade that contract if you had to, was if you had the first overall pick. No, it's not true for a lot of reasons.

This is a prediction about trade value that would only be proven if a trade actually occurred.

Trae Young's contract with the Wizards is not the worst in the NBA, especially compared to Joel Embiid, Paul George, or Bradley Beal

For people to jump ahead and be like, oh, this is the worst contract in the NBA, I mean, oh, oh, I'm so, it is disgusting. To say like, it's the worst contract in the NBA is a little ridiculous. Just, I can think of two off the top of my head. Joel Embiid. Paul George. Bradley Beal with the Wizards.

The Bucks failed the Giannis trade by waiting a year too long and getting a poor return

I feel like the Bucks screwed this up just because they, they waited a year too long. Yeah, they couldn't and, and they got a bunch of guys and picks. I mean, they got Tyler Herro. Giannis should have gotten more, the return should have been bigger for Giannis.

General consensus among analysts was often that the Bucks should have reset earlier.

The 2026 World Cup final was boring and sucked.

It was boring ass soccer. It sucked. It made me thankful that the World Cup's over, that football's back. Now we can get back into real football, which I'm very, very thankful for. But that was actually, I think that was the best way to end the World Cup, because I'm totally fine with no more soccer now.

Fanatics Fest is a cynical place designed only to take money from fans.

It also seems like the most cynical place ever. Like, you can go to an autograph festival or a fan festival and you know that the guys are being paid to be there. And they're still like, happy to see, interact with you, all that shit. It just seems like every single thing about being at that place is just designed to take money from the people that are there.

Bryson DeChambeau is being targeted by selective rule enforcement.

I think that Bryson definitely did it and it's definitely against the rules. And he got caught for it and they enforced it against him because he's a bad boy. He's had some run-ins before. I don't think the R&A or whatever, I don't think they're particularly happy with Bryson right now.
