Michael Crabtree didn't sign with the Cardinals because he feared Aqib Talib

My cool throne is Michael Crabtree. So Michael Crabtree decided not to sign with the Arizona Cardinals yesterday... It would have been a terrible move for him because he would have had to play against Aqib Talib twice. Oh, he didn't want that chain snatched. Yeah, the Dunn chain was about to hang over his neck, and Aqib Talib was about to swipe it off.

While funny, Crabtree eventually did sign with the Cardinals later that August and played against Talib's Rams, so the 'thanks but no thanks' didn't stick.

Derek Carr is incredibly awkward on Hard Knocks and acts like a robot impersonating a quarterback

Hard Knocks is back. Derek Carr is awkward as fuck... He was like a robot trying to impersonate a quarterback... It's very clear that the message the Raiders are trying to send is Derek Carr is our quarterback.

Subjective opinion on a player's media performance.

Jon Gruden will prevent anything interesting from being shown on Hard Knocks

It's very obvious that Jon Gruden is not going to let them show anything that's remotely interesting. We just have to hope for next week with Sean McVay trying to out-Gruden Jon Gruden.

The season was generally viewed as less explosive than expected despite having AB and Gruden, though some moments like the feet injury were notable.

The 'I'm a dad now' excuse for behavior expires once your child turns one year old

When do you get to stop using 'I'm a dad'? [LeBron] still does. 'I'm a dad now.' I think you can't use it after your kid's like one. 'I'm a dad now' is different than 'I'm a dad.'

This is a subjective rule for social etiquette.

The 4-1 loss to Belgium was the worst USMNT performance in years

That was the worst performance from the US that I've seen in years. Just completely lackluster from the start. So much blame to go around. Tim Ream, friend of the program, good guy over the hill, turned into soccer Shawn Bradley before our very eyes got dunked on twice.

Subjective opinion on the quality of the performance.

Christian Pulisic was a 'no-show' and looked like he didn't care against Belgium

Christian Pulisic, the long anointed Captain America future face of this league for American soccer. Absolute no show of a game, I would say worse than a no show of a game. And then he checks himself out. Just looks lackluster, looks like he doesn't care at all. Had the most turnovers on the field of anybody. That played just really, really, really bad.

Subjective evaluation of Pulisic's effort and performance.

The US will never close the skill gap compared to the rest of the world in soccer

People will never close the skill gap. USA will never close the skill gap compared to the rest of the world in soccer.

Historically, the US has struggled to produce technical talent on par with Brazil or Europe.
