Retired the Flacco meter after Donald Trump addressed Flacco's eliteness — where else can it go from there?

I did retire the Flacco meter last year because once Donald Trump addressed [Joe] Flacco's eliteness, it's like, where else can it go from here? But every now and again, you need to kind of check in on it.

Meta-commentary on the Flacco elite debate reaching its peak when Trump weighed in. The Flacco meter was not actually retired — PFT continued discussing it for years.

Carson Wentz is the real deal and will break the Philly Super Bowl curse

Carson Wentz, the real deal. No way is this going to backfire, Philly. He is one of the best quarterbacks I've ever seen. Poise out of his eyeball. Hey, Philly, your Super Bowl curse, you're Gucci. You're Gucci, bro. You're breaking that, buddy.

Wentz eventually helped the Eagles to a Super Bowl-caliber season in 2017 (though Foles finished it), but he wasn't one of the 'best quarterbacks ever seen' and the take was delivered as a joke.

The Vikings are actually better without Teddy Bridgewater

I think the Vikings are actually better without Teddy Bridgewater. They have a guy now that can get the job done. Sean Hill, he's a gamer... he's a guy that can win a game for you.

While the 2016 Vikings started 5-0, they finished 8-8 and missed the playoffs. Sean Hill was quickly replaced by Sam Bradford as the primary starter.

Jimmy Garoppolo is the future quarterback of the Chicago Bears

Future Bear quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo. If you say it enough, people are going to start getting it in their head... Jimmy Garoppolo from Illinois, Eastern Illinois product. Bears.

Garoppolo was traded to the 49ers and later played for the Raiders and Rams, but never the Bears.

The Bills could have three or four Super Bowls without kickers

You can make the argument that the Buffalo Bills would have like three or four Super Bowls if kickers weren't a thing in football. You can make the argument that the Patriots might not have had the start of that dynasty if it wasn't for kickers.

The claim is a counterfactual and cannot be definitively verified.

Jalen Hurts will answer the Titans by beating them as a passer

I actually think Jalen Hurts is good enough as a quarterback that when somebody dares him to do that, he could say, 'Fuck you, I will beat you as a quarterback.' And then stay in the pocket and throw for like 300 yards and three touchdowns.

Hurts' passing production against Tennessee will determine this prediction.

The Jaguars would be the second-best team in football if they win in Denver

If they win this game in Denver, I would put them maybe second in the power rankings behind the Jets.

The Jaguars' win and their resulting standing in PFT's power rankings are the relevant conditions; the ranking itself is subjective.
