The Victor Wembanyama hype has gotten hilariously out of control

The Victor Wembanyama hype has gotten so hilariously outta control. Wodge said he was maybe the greatest prospect in the history of team sports. People are saying he is a bigger deal than LeBron James, which is just factually incorrect.

Culturally, LeBron's 2003 hype remains the gold standard, though Wembanyama's on-court rookie season was historic.

LeBron James has never played a player like Nikola Jokic in the playoffs

I don't think as great as LeBron James' career has been, he's ever had to play a player like Jokic in the playoffs... Jokic is such a unique force... He's averaging a 30 point triple double in these playoffs, which is insane.

In terms of archetype (passing 7-footer), Jokic is indeed unique in LeBron's playoff history.

The 2023 NBA playoffs are the most 'f-ed up' in NBA history

I will also remind you Big Cat that in our playoff preview in Austin, I, I was clear that this is the most effed up post-season [in NBA history]. You did. It's so weird. We have an eight seed, oh, two eight seeds in the conference finals. We have the first playing team, winning a series. We have two plan teams winning series. It's just the, it's parody. It's a lot like March Madness.

The 2023 playoffs did feature two No. 8 seeds (Heat and Lakers) in the Conference Finals for the first time in the current format, making it historically anomalous.

If you want a young player to not have his career go sideways with bad coaching and a dysfunctional franchise, there's no better place than San Antonio for [Wembanyama] to land.

The 76ers' Game 7 loss was on James Harden and Joel Embiid, not Doc Rivers

Doc Rivers fired... He probably should have been fired. But it also is like one of those rare cases where Doc Rivers loves to blow it in big moments, but that loss to me was squarely on James Harden and Joel Embiid.
