Andrew Santino on Hollywood, Week 2 NFL Picks, and Packers Dominance
The Green Bay Packers are terrifying. After watching them dismantle the Commanders on Thursday night, Big Cat and PFT were left trying to find new adjectives for how good Jordan Love looks. It wasn't just a win; it was a physical reminder that the Packers simply have a factory in the basement of Lambeau that churns out franchise quarterbacks every fifteen years. Big Cat is so all-in on this roster that he’s already checking the schedule for next February.
The Green Bay Packers are a generational, once-in-a-lifetime team
The Green Bay Packers are a problem. Generational team. We said if they don't win the Super Bowl, it would be the greatest upset in the history of sports. And they are so good. They're guaranteed to win this Super Bowl and probably next year's Super Bowl.
PFT was left in the wreckage of a nine-point loss that felt like fifty. Between Jayden Daniels running for his life and the defense looking like a sieve, it was a reality check for the Commanders. While there were some bright spots like Deebo looking electric, PFT is coming to terms with the fact that his squad might just be a middle-of-the-pack team this season.
The Commanders will win 10 games but are not good enough to beat elite teams
I think we're like an above average team right now. I think we're like a 10 win team. But that's like our, our, we're not gonna beat the good teams, the very good teams. It was just, it was ugly.
Despite the tough outing for the rookie, the loyalty to Jayden Daniels remains unshakable. PFT isn't letting one bad game against a generational defense ruin the hype train, even if Big Cat noted that Bobby Wagner might be losing a step in the middle of the field.
I wouldn't trade Jaden Daniels for any other player in the NFL right now
I wouldn't trade, I don't think that there's a player in the NFL that I would trade for Jaden [Daniels] right now. He had a bad game. I think that's fair. I but he, he wasn't the main problem tonight.
Week 2 Picks and Preview
The board is loaded with revenge games and bizarre animal matchups. The guys broke down Jaguars vs. Bengals, which led to a deep dive into the physical capabilities of big cats. While the Jaguars have the bite force, Big Cat is trusting the raw mass of the Bengal tiger to carry the day in the jungle.
A Bengal tiger would kill a Jaguar in a fight every single time
I just looked at AI and a Bengal would kill a Jaguar like a hundred out of a hundred times. A Jaguar does have one of like the the fiercest bites in the animal kingdom. The problem is the Bengal outweighs the Jaguar by like 200 pounds.
Attention then turned to the Bears and the ongoing Caleb Williams saga. After a shaky debut, Big Cat is actually calling for his quarterback to be more aggressive, even if it leads to some turnovers. He wants to see the "hesitancy" disappear and see Caleb actually let the ball fly downfield against the Lions.
Caleb Williams needs to take more shots and throw more interceptions
I wouldn't mind if Caleb had a couple more interceptions. We're getting to a point now where he doesn't throw interceptions and it feels like I'd like him to take some more shots. Just take a couple shots. Take like that hesitancy he talked about himself. Let it rip.
The schedule also features a potential passing of the torch in New York, with the guys speculating on when Russell Wilson might finally get the hook. PFT has a specific date in mind for the Jaxson Dart era to officially begin.
Jaxson Dart will get his first start for the Giants against the Chargers
My prediction was that Dart gets in against the Chargers. That would be his first start I think. I don't know if it's gonna be a clean benching for Russell Wilson. I think they might do the Dart packages and they might like slowly incorporate Dart into the games.
Andrew Santino in Studio
Friend of the program Andrew Santino stopped by the office to talk about his new special, *White Noise*, which is out now on Hulu. The conversation hit everything from the nightmare of Disney adults to the bizarre hierarchy of Hollywood acting. Santino shared some hilarious behind-the-scenes struggles with Disney executives regarding his jokes about their adult fanbases.
Disney adults without kids should be sent to jail
I just think there should be two lines at Disney. One for people with kids and one for people without. And the people with kids get to go in the park and the people without get to go to jail, you have to go to jail. There should be a line right into a jail cell.
Santino also revealed that he’s reached a point of total zen regarding his career. He’s tired of the development hell that comes with movies and TV shows, where scripts are bought just to be shelved by executives who used to run snack companies. He’s leaning fully into the podcasting and stand-up life where he can actually be himself.
I am done with acting in Hollywood movies and will focus only on stand-up and podcasting
I'm out dude. I have no business in the business. I'm out. Stand up and podcasting. I'm 42 in a month and I've had a great, I love doing Dave... but the business has changed and I have more fun doing stand-up and podcasting by far than I ever did doing that other stuff.
To wrap things up, the guys hit Fyre Fest of the Week. PFT had a legendary struggle with the Chicago city impound lot that cost him over a grand, Hank admitted to a total pitching meltdown in a playoff softball game, and Big Cat is still trying to figure out why he bought a luxury van that he doesn't have a license plate for yet.
Hopefully, the Bears can complete more passes than Hank did strikes this weekend.
