Matthew Stafford will eventually be a Hall of Famer based on his career passing stats

I'm not saying that. I think that Matt Safford is like an incredible hall of fame quarterback. I've my, my statement has simply been that he will, his career will be there by the end... mass, Sanford's going to end up like top six all time and passing. So, and he's also going to, no, one's saying that he's right now, if he retired, he would be a hall of Famer... My argument was always under the assumption that he plays until he's, I don't know, like 38, 39.

Stafford is still active; his HOF status will be determined after retirement.

Sean McVay should retire and join ESPN's Monday Night Football for more money and fewer hours

I'm going with the ESPN Monday night crew on the hot seat because supposedly if McVay wants out, ESPN wants him in for Monday night football. Tony Romo makes 18 million... Why would he want to work? Like 100th of the amount of hours and time and stress for, for more money? Yeah. I, I think that's a pretty good deal.

McVay did not retire and stayed with the Rams.

I would say off the top of my head, he's up there now with greatest wide receiver seasons of all time is this season. In terms of his regular season and then what he did in the playoffs and what he did on that fourth quarter... you still couldn't stop Cooper Kupp.

Kupp finished 2021 with the Triple Crown (leads in catches, yards, TDs), Offensive Player of the Year, and Super Bowl MVP.

Eli Apple is the most disliked player in the NFL

Do you think that there's a more disliked player in the NFL than Eli Apple? Cause they picked on him and it was like every single player that was watching the game, current players, were just roasting the fuck out of him. Like he was getting just dragged by guys that are like the third wide out on some of the worst teams.

While 'most disliked' is subjective, the social media vitriol from peers (Mecole Hardman, etc.) at the time was unprecedented for a non-star.

Matthew Stafford is now an automatic Hall of Famer

Matthew Stafford is going to be a hall of Famer. It's almost automatic now. Cause he has it... all the stats are there and then he's got the ring. That's it. If you put him now, if he plays three, four more years, pick a quarterback with one Superbowl, he's going to have a better resume overall.

Stafford has high volume stats and a ring, though his lack of All-Pros/MVPs still makes him a debate topic; he is not yet eligible.

If Aaron Donald wins Super Bowl MVP, he is in the discussion for best defensive player ever

Aaron Donald, if he wins a Super Bowl and a Super Bowl MVP, he now is absolutely in the discussion for best defensive player of all time. He's already a Hall of Famer... there's only been like two or three guys who've been All-Pro eight out of their first nine years.

Losing to a former assistant in the Super Bowl is a worse legacy stain than losing to Bill Belichick

Losing to your assistant in your second Super Bowl, when it's his first Super Bowl, that is way worse and that will be the reason why the narrative is there. It won't have anything to do with Belichick or the Patriots... if [Sean McVay] loses this game and loses to his former assistant, that's a much harder pill to swallow.

McVay won the game, so the hypothetical 'can't win the big one' label was avoided.
