Tony Romo's massive contract was purely a result of being in the "absolute perfect place at the perfect time."

I have no idea. I have no animosity jealousy anything I am happy for [Romo]. And he doesn't do what I do. So, you know, I wonder but others in this business trying to follow that model to me Romo was in the the absolute perfect place at the perfect time with two networks that were dying to either keep him or get him and it just came up at the right time for him and he cashed in.

Romo's deal set a new market for top analysts, which was indeed driven by a bidding war between CBS and ESPN.

Mike Francesa is making his content less accessible to the few people still listening

My friend says it was like hey, you know, what's a good idea to make sure that my content is even less accessible to the people? ... It's the MLB model. Yes. If he was smart, he would just start his own Twitter account for his own show. But I guess he's sunk a lot of production costs into doing the mics on app.

Francesa eventually left WFAN again and his app-centric model didn't significantly revitalize his reach compared to his peak terrestrial radio years.

The quarantine will result in a generation of "Corona Livers" due to the massive spike in alcohol consumption.

Alcohol consumption is going way off in America. People are talking about having Corona babies. They're going to be Corona livers in about three or four months.

Data from the pandemic era did show a significant increase in alcohol-related liver disease and deaths starting in 2020.

Robert Kraft's mask donation should be treated as a good deed regardless of his politics

I just feel like we're at the point in time where it's like any good deed that can help the greater cause here, let's just let it be a good deed. What's especially egregious considering that he could go right down the street to Chris Sale and be like, 'Hey Chris, can you cut up some more MLB jerseys to Masks?'

This is a subjective moral/ethical opinion on public discourse.

Patrick Mahomes is a genuinely good guy who does a lot of charity work when cameras aren't there

I'm amazed at Patrick Mahomes. He's a legitimate good guy that I think has a really big heart. When you talk to their PR folks, they're like, you should see what this guy does when nobody's looking. When cameras aren't there... he does stuff that nobody has any idea about. Just 'cause he is a good guy.

General consensus and reporting support Mahomes' high character.

Tom Brady should not over-prepare and should just be himself in the broadcasting booth

If I am telling Tom Brady anything... I would just say be yourself. I, I don't get into this trying to sound like what you've heard over the years... You know the game. Don't over prepare and see what you see and react with your gut on what you see. I, I think so many times people like that's, they, they overdo it to the point where they're just paralyzed by so much information.

Brady's performance in 2024 has received mixed but generally positive reviews; whether he followed this specific 'don't over-prepare' advice is unknown.
