Steve Nash is a great coach who does a good job handling massive amounts of locker room bullshit

I actually think Steve Nash does a great job because holy fuck. Does he have to deal with a lot? ... Having the disposition that this guy had the last two years dealing with all the bullshit that he dealt with. I don't want to fucking hear it [that he can't coach]. It's actually incredible.

While Nash managed the drama for a time, he was eventually fired for poor results and an inability to command the locker room in late 2022.

Richard Hamilton was hard because all he's doing is running the whole time. So I'm not a shooting guard, but I often guard the best players whoever's doing work... rip Hamilton, all he doing is running the whole time. And that's extremely tiring... He separates so well once at the point of the screen, he's gone. And it's so hard to keep up with.

Coming back from a meniscus tear in five days was the dumbest mistake of my career

I tear my meniscus takes about six weeks to come back... I come back in five days... dumbest, dumbest mistake of my life in terms of my career came back too early. I didn't hurt myself, but I was receiving a lot of fluid in my knee. So I had to keep draining the fluid.

He never returned to his peak form after this injury and recovery attempt.

I keep saying it and I feel like there's some people who still don't understand it. Like Ben Simmons is the reason why the Sixers have been held back. I think it was one of the top three or four Game 6 performances of all time... Michael Jordan would be one. The other would be LeBron James against the San Antonio Spurs... and it [Giannis's performance] was better than both of those. It was 50 points in a clincher.

I think the torch discussion... I feel like that's not even the correct discussion to have. I feel like we should have a crown discussion. I think the crown is now [Giannis's]. I think that it's no longer King James. I think it's King Giannis.

While Giannis took the mantle of the best player for a period, the NBA hierarchy is always debated. LeBron remained highly relevant, and other stars like Jokic and Curry would soon win titles as well.
