Sports fans will eventually be forced back to cable bundles due to the high cost of streaming

It sucks what they're doing to us as sports fans overall. Where we have to have every subscription, a million different channels... I think the government is gonna try to break 'em up... No, we're going back to cable. Yeah. We have to go back to cable. Yeah. They're gonna bundle 'em.

The trend in sports media is shifting toward 'Venu' and other bundles that resemble the old cable model.

Brian Rolapp is being sent to the PGA Tour to eventually facilitate Saudi investment in the NFL

What's the biggest challenge facing golf right now? Getting everyone to play in one league. He's being brought in I think in large part to figure out that framework, make a deal so that Liv and PGA get back together... and then he is gonna come back to the NFL in a few years and be like, okay, we're opening up the potential investors in NFL teams to foreign investment funds.

This involves long-term multi-year league policy shifts.

Fifty percent of professional Dungeons and Dragons clients are Pardon My Take fans

I love running games for AWLs. I think at this point 50% of my clients are like AWLs. I mean it's so rad because what I do is now that I've run Forge of Fury, I've been running another adventure for them.

I cannot verify Timm Woods' private business records, so this remains pending or taken at face value.

NBA broadcasts will soon allow fans to toggle sports betting information on or off

I think we're not that far away where you're just gonna go click. And if you don't want any information about sports betting, you won't have to look at it. On the other hand, if you're someone in a state where it's illegal and you can get, get a bet on sports, you'll see a lot more information if that's what you want.

Streaming platforms like Prime Video and various RSN apps are already testing these interactive overlays.

TikTok will never actually get banned

I think they said they're, they're doing like a 90 day extension and then it might be banned again, but there's just no way that it ever gets banned.

As of the current date, TikTok has faced multiple ban threats that have been delayed or mitigated.

Foreign investment funds will eventually buy American sports teams as prices exceed what US billionaires can afford

As the teams get more and more expensive, there's fewer and fewer people who can afford to pay for these teams. At some point, the foreign investment funds are gonna become part of the shrinking pool of available billions that can buy American sports teams. We might be on that slide down there.

The NBA and other leagues have already started relaxing rules for sovereign wealth fund investments in minority stakes.

The Buffalo Bills winning a Super Bowl would be the biggest merchandise market for Fanatics

What you generally look for is teams with great heritage that haven't won for a long time. The Buffalo Bills would be spectacular for business. Because they have great heritage... think about everyone who grew up in Buffalo who has any connectivity in Buffalo. Every one of them would buy $500 in merchandise.

The Bills have yet to win a Super Bowl, so the literal sales claim is unverified, but it's a verifiable industry prediction.

Mark Davis will eventually have to sell the Raiders because he won't be able to afford the inheritance tax.

And then when Mark gets the team, he's not going to have the money to pay the inheritance tax on it. Correct. And so he'll have to sell that team.

This prediction depends on future events (Carol Davis passing and subsequent tax filings). As of now, Mark Davis still owns the team.

I will spend my Rough N' Rowdy winnings on Dogecoin

So, Billy, what are you going to spend the winnings on? ... Dogecoin.

While it's unverified if he put every cent into it, Dogecoin peaked in May 2021, so if he did buy it in February and held, he would have made a significant profit before the crash.

The NBA's consideration of expansion to Seattle is primarily driven by the need for billions in expansion fees

The truth is they need money. And if they expand again, it's about a billion dollars a franchise... They're talking about, 'Oh, should we put more Jersey patches on stuff like that to make up the extra revenue they're not getting from ticket sales?' The Seattle SuperSonics coming back, that would be a hell of a Jersey patch. You would definitely rake in the cash.

While expansion hasn't happened yet, it is widely reported by NBA insiders that expansion fees (expected to be $4-5 billion per team) are a key driver for future league growth.

Buy TikTok stock when it goes public

Mike Francesa told me... TikTok. Invest in TikTok. So invest in TikTok, invest in all the apps, invest in all the social media... when TikTok goes public, buy it, buy it again and get back in line three times to buy it some more.

TikTok remains a massive global platform, but ByteDance has not had an IPO as of late 2024.

No one will own cars in 15 years because of automation

He [CEO of Mercedes-Benz] says in 15 years that we're not going to own cars anymore. They're all going to be electric vehicles... The vehicle will pull up in front of your house... those changes are going to change the entire world. [Auto insurance and repair industries will disappear].

We are roughly halfway through this timeline (2024). While autonomous tech has advanced, car ownership remains high and the auto insurance/repair industries are still massive. The 15-year total disappearance seems highly unlikely.

Net Neutrality will slow down porn

Can you just explain to me what this means for porn? I don't care. It'll definitely slow it down. It's slowing porn down.
