We talk about every Thanksgiving game and Black Friday Jets/Dolphins mixed in with some listener Questions about Thanksgiving (-). Hot Seat/Cool Throne including talk about CFB and the big weekend ahead of us (-). Our crazy uncle Mike Florio joins the show to talk NFL, Bengals injury report, Hank vs Florio on fan fiction and tons more (-). We then do Week 11 preview and picks for every Sunday game (-) and finish with Lottery Ball Gate as Big Cat addresses Max being a loser and coward and everything that is wrong with America (-).

Mike Florio on Belichick to Commanders, Thanksgiving Previews, and Lotteryballgate

The Philadelphia Eagles are sitting on top of the NFL world after a gritty Monday night win at Arrowhead. While the game was a bit of a mess, the Eagles did what they do best: found a way to win. Max was naturally insufferable about it, leading PFT to crown them a bit early.

The Eagles are already Super Bowl champions

Congratulations to the Eagles for getting the one seed. I don't see them losing the Max. Congratulations. Eagles. super Bowl champions.

The Eagles suffered a massive collapse late in the season and lost in the Wild Card round to the Buccaneers.

On the other side, the Chiefs' wide receiver room is officially a disaster. Big Cat isn't ready to bury Patrick Mahomes yet, but the lack of scoring in the second half for three straight games is a massive red flag. Even with the drops, Big Cat defended the decision to move on from Tyreek Hill.

Trading Tyreek Hill was a smart long-term move for the Chiefs

I also think the Chiefs made a calculated move to essentially say, we know that with Patrick Mahomes, he's gonna be the franchise quarterback for 15, maybe 20 years. We have to evolve and stay ahead of this like trading Tyreek Hill for a bunch of draft picks... I have no problem with like, people are complaining that they got rid of Tyreek Hill. Well, yeah, I think that was a smart move for the next five, 10 years instead of right now.

This is a long-term subjective opinion on management strategy.

The Turkey Day Slate

Thanksgiving is the best day of the year, and we have a slate that actually matters. For the first time since Barry Sanders was juking people into another dimension, the Lions game is must-watch television. Big Cat is sensing a blowout in Detroit as Dan Campbell prepares to shove the run game down Green Bay's throat.

The Lions will whop the Packers on Thanksgiving

I don't think the Lions offense will look bad that bad, two games in a row. I think this might be a whopping by Lions. I think WIC qualifies as a whopping... I think the Lions are that much better than the Packers.

The Packers beat the Lions 29-22 on Thanksgiving Day.

While discussing the food, the guys held some firm lines. Big Cat shut down the idea of fancy steaks replacing the bird, while PFT went to bat for the most underrated part of the meal.

Big CatBig Cat

Turkey belongs on Thanksgiving and you shouldn't try to replace it with steak

Turkey on Thanksgiving is what you do. You have to keep doing it. If you start doing steak on Thanksgiving, it now diminishes steak... Let's not try to reinvent the wheel. That's When, you eat Turkey. There's no other time really to eat Turkey. Eat steak all year.

Purely subjective matter of taste and tradition.

Stuffing is the best Thanksgiving side and should be eaten more often

I want to stand out on a soapbox and pound my chest for stuffing. Oh it's stuffing is the best... we should eat stuffing way more frequently than we do. It's the best.

Subjective opinion on food.

We also have the first-ever Black Friday game with the Dolphins visiting the Jets. With Tim Boyle under center for the Jets, Big Cat expects a bloodbath. He also theorized that the elite Jets defense is finally reaching its breaking point.

Dolphins will kill the Jets on Black Friday

I said this on Sunday. I'll say it again. I think the Dolphins, they have been taken out a, a fraud watch for me. I think they're very much for real and I think they will kill the Jets. We have Tim Boyle. It's Tim Boyle time.

The Dolphins beat the Jets 34-13 on Black Friday.

The Jets' defense will eventually break and stop playing hard because the offense is so bad

The only positive spin zone I would have for the Jets... is that you saw in the Bills game, and this happens for NFL teams, where if the quarterback and the offense is really, really bad, there's a definite point where the defense will... get so tiresome... breaking point where it's like, we can't... we can't sustain that.

The Jets' defense remained ranked near the top of the league despite the team finishing 7-10.

Crazy Uncle Mike Florio

Mike Florio joined the show for his annual Thanksgiving check-in, and he brought some heavy "informed speculation." After hashing out a beef with Hank over whether his reporting is actually "fan fiction," Florio dove into the Joe Burrow injury and the legal mess the NFL is inviting by being in bed with gambling while having a broken injury reporting system.

The NFL will eventually face a massive gambling lawsuit over flawed injury reporting

I've been sounding that alarm... If you're gonna make millions from legalized gambling and you're gonna have an injury reporting system that is flawed, that is broken, that isn't enforced, and somebody eventually hides an injury... If I bet on the Bengals and the Bengals hid that information, that would be very relevant to me... they've gotta enforce that rule or they're gonna end up in a massive lawsuit. It's just a matter of time.

Florio predicted the NFL would eventually face a massive gambling lawsuit over flawed injury reporting. As of February 2025, no such massive lawsuit has materialized, but 'eventually' makes this open-ended and not yet fully resolvable.

But the biggest bomb Florio dropped involved the coaching carousel. He’s convinced that Bill Belichick's time in New England is done and already has a destination in mind.

Bill Belichick will be the Commanders head coach in 2024

I think what'll happen behind the scenes, over the course of the next six, seven weeks, they'll work out a deal... Watch Bill Belichick to the commanders after the season. I believe it's gonna happen.

The Commanders hired Dan Quinn as their head coach for the 2024 season, and Belichick did not take any head coaching position.

Florio also touched on the idea of Travis Kelce hanging them up sooner rather than later to pursue the Hollywood life, noting that the window for his superstardom is wide open right now.

Travis Kelce might surprise retire after this season to pursue stardom

I look the guy is thinking about his next career... you gotta know when to make the transition and when the window's open... and it may be that the window for him is never more open than it is right now, or will be after this season.

Travis Kelce did not retire after the 2023 season and returned for 2024.

Hot Seat/Cool Throne and Week 12

Hot Seat/Cool Throne featured a heavy dose of college football talk. Between the Jordan Travis injury and the impending Michigan-Ohio State war, the CFP debate is reaching a fever pitch. Big Cat made it clear that a certain resume is bulletproof.

You cannot leave an undefeated Florida State out of the College Football Playoff

If Florida State can be kept out if they're undefeated? I don't think you can... They won't leave out an undefeated Florida state. I'm pretty confident.

Florida State finished 13-0 but was left out of the 4-team playoff in favor of one-loss Alabama and Texas.

Looking ahead to Sunday, the guys are high on some sleeper teams. Big Cat is buying stock in the Falcons to win their putrid division and thinks the Colts are about to make some noise in the AFC.

The Falcons will win the NFC South starting with a win this Sunday

I have a theory. I think the Falcons are gonna be good... after the buy. I think it starts right now... I think they're gonna win the NFC South. I think it starts on Sunday.

The Buccaneers won the NFC South in 2023. The Falcons finished 7-10.

The Colts are going to make a sneaky playoff run

I'm also very high on the Colts. I think the Colts are gonna be sneaky in maybe the playoff picture... Huge rest advantage for Indy. Indy's coming off a bye.

The Colts finished 9-8 and lost a win-and-in game against the Texans in Week 18 to miss the playoffs.

Lotteryballgate

We ended the show with a full-blown investigation into Big Cat’s recent Lottery Ball win. Max, acting as the lead detective for a group of YouTube truthers, accused Big Cat of looking at the balls while pressing the button. It led to an all-time Big Cat rant about the decline of American grit and Max being a "cowardly loser."

Void
Big CatBig Cat

Max is a crybaby loser for accusing me of cheating at the Lottery Ball

What Max is displaying right now is everything that's wrong with this country... Max is an excuse guy. Max is a loser. If he loses a game, instead of saying, I lost the game, he says, oh, well they cheated... It's pathetic. It's cowardly and it's disgusting... I will take away the, the, the winning 71... I will win it without looking at it before Max does.

Purely a subjective/theatrical segment for the show's lore.

To prove his honor, Big Cat has voluntarily stripped himself of the win and reset his total to zero, vowing to win it again the right way just to spite Max.

Go enjoy your family and remember to eat some stuffing for PFT.

Sam Howell is a better quarterback than Bryce Young, Zach Wilson, Mac Jones, and Daniel Jones

Sam Howell's better than all those quarterbacks... the Cowboys have killed the really bad teams... the Jets, the Patriots, the Giants twice, the Panthers. Sam Howell's better than all those quarterbacks.

USMNT coach Gregg Berhalter stinks and should be fired

My Hot Seat is Greg Berhalter. Ooh. The coach of the US men's national team out. He should be out. Yeah. Hot Seat Greg. He lost to Trinidad in Tobago. Can't do that... He stinks. We brought him back. He doesn't get along with any of the best players on the team. Fire Greg. Fire him.

Berhalter was eventually fired in July 2024 after a poor showing in the Copa America.

Jayden Daniels is the only logical choice for the Heisman Trophy

I had Jordan Travis actually as my Heisman Trophy winner, but I don't think that you can give it to him now. So you have to go to [Jayden] Daniels. Jaden Daniels would be the only logical choice.

Jayden Daniels won the 2023 Heisman Trophy.

Bill Belichick's poor GMing is a bigger problem for the Patriots than his coaching

I would say that it's Belichick, the GM, that has been the bigger problem than Belichick, the coach. So do you put guardrails on his personnel authority or do you let him just run everything like he has in New England?

This is a subjective analysis of a coach's multi-faceted role.

The NFL will attempt to suspend Jim Harbaugh if he returns to the league

The NFL might duplicate whatever punishment the NCAA imposes on Jim Harbaugh. That tells me the NFL's thinking about it... It wouldn't be on the NFL's network if they weren't thinking about doing it... I look at it as kind of a clumsy effort to blackball him.

Harbaugh was hired by the Chargers for the 2024 season and has not faced any NFL disciplinary action related to the NCAA sign-stealing investigation.

Robert Saleh and Joe Douglas are both safe for 2024 because of the Aaron Rodgers injury

I think Saleh comes back because of that. Joe Douglas comes back because of that. They're not gonna want to upset the apple cart. They're gonna go even more all in... hope [Rodgers] can stay healthy at 40.

Both Saleh and Douglas were retained for the 2024 season, though Saleh was later fired during the 2024 season.

The Bills will make the playoffs and win 2 of their next 3 tough games

I think the Bills are gonna win. I think the Bills are gonna win two out of their next three. Which are at Chiefs. At Eagles at Chiefs versus Cowboys. I think the Bills are going to make the playoffs... everything that could've gone wrong to start their season went wrong... I think the Bills are gonna get back in the conversation.

The Bills won 5 straight games to end the season, including wins over the Chiefs and Cowboys, and made the playoffs as the 2-seed.
