As the NBA and NHL playoffs kick into gear, the contrast in quality is impossible to ignore. Big Cat and PFT Commenter pointed out that while the NHL is a gauntlet of parity, the NBA first round feels like a foregone conclusion for the top seeds.

It's because ice is the great equalizer. That's the X factor right there. Anytime you get people on slippery substances, you open the door for a big upset, which is why I love the NHL.

I will say that Matt Dellavedova could probably make the roster of most NHL players, but he's probably the only NBA player that I think could cross over into the other sport.

When I think most of us can just say like we kind of enjoy all the sports. I don't really think I should have to choose between one or the other just because someone's able to stay on the ice with a broken leg.
Tom Glavine Joins the Show
Hall of Famer Tom Glavine joined us to talk fire ants, the legendary 90s Braves, and his dual-sport history. While everyone knows Glavine was a tactical genius on the mound, he revealed that his rotation mate Greg Maddux was a bit of a menace behind closed doors.

Glavine also touched on being drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in 1984. While he chose baseball for the longevity and the specific perks of his throwing arm, he still loves the game of hockey more than the one that put him in Cooperstown.

Finally, the guys checked in with what’s Hot in the Streets with Hank. The weather is warming up, which means the videos of people jumping off roofs and through folding tables are flooding the timeline. While it makes for great content, PFT Commenter is certain the law of averages is going to catch up to these backyard wrestlers eventually.
