Trevor Lawrence is just a 6'6" version of Tate Martell who has kept a 'mirage' going.

My take about Trevor Lawrence is that he is basically Tate Martell. But since he's taller, because Tate Martell undefeated in high school, greatest quarterback recruit ever, the only difference is Trevor Lawrence is 6'6", not 5'11", and he's been able to keep the mirage up.

Trevor Lawrence became the #1 pick and a Pro Bowler, while Tate Martell's career ended with minimal playing time. Lawrence was a legitimate top-tier talent, not a 'mirage.'

Big Ben Roethlisberger taking a pay cut is the ultimate 'hero ball' move.

This might be my favorite Big Ben move ever because he took a pay cut... But he signed a big money contract knowing he was going to get paid like $40 million when he was very old and at the end of his career. And now he's hero ball, going to take a pay cut on the contract that he signed to get paid a ton of money when he was really old. This is the greatest thing that Big Ben has ever done.

The pay cut was widely viewed as a necessary move for the Steelers to keep him, but Big Cat's framing of it as 'hero ball' is a subjective characterization of Ben's personality.

Steelers fans should not be excited about Big Ben Roethlisberger returning for another year.

If I was a Steelers fan, I would not be super thrilled about another year of Big Ben.

The 2021 season was Roethlisberger's last; he threw for 22 TDs and 10 INTs as the Steelers went 9-7-1 and were blown out in the Wild Card round.

The NFL salary cap doesn't actually matter.

Basically, [the salary cap] doesn't matter... teams will go from under $20 million over the cap to magically, oh, they have a bunch of cap space.

While it's a hard cap, restructures and 'void years' make it extremely flexible, supporting the spirit of the take.

Technically Vanny Woodhead does not exist and is legally destroyed

Technically it's destroyed. Legally it's chopped up. But I kind of, I couldn't, I didn't have the heart to chop it up, so I just been keeping it. No, one [owns it]. The, it's technically like scrap. It's a ghost car. It just hasn't been scrapped.

While the physical van existed, Billy's claim about its legal status (scrapped) was likely accurate based on his failure to maintain registration/insurance and his instructions to destroy it.

Zach Wilson's ceiling is literally Patrick Mahomes

Come on, Zach Wilson, his ceiling is literally Patrick Mahomes. That's a fact. If he plays to the best of his ability.

Zach Wilson was benched later that season and eventually traded, proving his ceiling is nowhere near Mahomes.

Al-Qaeda is the only one who could have written the Monday Night Football script

Running out with the flag... hard knocks... there was so much hope and hype. And, you know, talking about the NFL script, the only one who could have written that script is Al-Qaeda.

This is a satirical dark humor comment, not a factual claim.
