The USWNT's 3-0 victory over Vietnam was the worst three-goal victory I have ever seen

I watched the second half of the Vietnam game. That was bad. That was the worst three goal victory I've ever seen.

Subjective assessment of a specific match performance.

Bill Belichick is the best head coach in the NFL to lead a team right now

Bill Belichick [is the first pick]. I was taking it no matter what Hank said. I'm a neutral journalist, [picking] the best of the 32.

Belichick went 4-13 in the 2023 season and mutually parted ways with the Patriots, showing he was no longer the elite coach he once was.

Sean McVay is a top-three coach who only struggled recently because the Rams went all in

If you told every team in the NFL, you can get Sean McVay your head coach next year. There's like, I think there's only two teams that wouldn't take him. He is that good. I feel like they're gonna be slept on this year just 'cause of how bad they were last year... they were going all in and trading all their future picks. And then we're like, why do the Rams suck now? Well, because they gave us no opportunity for a window of discussion.

The Rams exceeded expectations in 2023, finishing 10-7 and making the playoffs, validating the idea that they were just in a one-year reset.

John Harbaugh is a top-tier coach who would improve almost every team in the NFL immediately

John Harbaugh could step into any situation in the league except for maybe three and improve it. He's got a track record now... he's reinvented himself a couple times. And now he's really good at going with what his best players do best.

Subjective opinion on a coach's value, though Harbaugh remains highly regarded.

The overturning of Folarin Balogun's suspension is the smallest piece of justice the United States has ever received from FIFA

The United States has never benefited from FIFA's corruption before, and it feels like we've been left out of that party. If this is our taste of the corruption, and all the corruption is just overturning a suspension that should never have been given in the first place... it's the smallest piece of justice that the United States could ever get from FIFA.

The USMNT did successfully have Balogun's suspension rescinded during the 2026 World Cup.

The sensor chips inside soccer balls are bullshit and not perfectly aligned with the cameras

I'm so deep into this chip in the ball thing, I've become convinced that it's all bullshit. The sensors, yes, they're there and yes, they pick up on stuff, but there's no chance that it is perfectly aligned with the 50 cameras that are running concurrently in the stadium on live TV at any given time.

This is a subjective claim about technical precision, though PFT expresses strong doubt.

Brandon Aiyuk is in a bad space mentally and will not be signing with the Washington Commanders.

The Washington Commanders have released Brandon [Aiyuk] today from the contract that he didn't sign with us and was never going to sign. Things got kind of weird over the weekend. So [Aiyuk] was saying like talking shit about Jayden's mom... I think that should probably put an end to the Brandon [Aiyuk] to the Commanders rumors. But I was never really on board for it, it's been weird for quite some time with Brandon. I hope he gets whatever help he needs. It doesn't seem like he's in a good space mentally. And it seems like even his best oldest friends have tried to help him and he just burns those bridges too.

Subjective opinion on Aiyuk's mental state and burned bridges, plus a prediction about not going to the Commanders.
