UNC are cowards for refusing to participate in the NIT

UNC preemptively declaring that they're not going to participate in the NIT [are] cowards, which is a bullshit thing that they're doing. It's disgusting that UNC is bowing out... This is, it's disgusting. It's a slap in the face to all of college basketball.

UNC did officially decline the NIT invitation in 2023.

The next Syracuse head coach should be forced to run the 2-3 zone in perpetuity

I hope whoever the next coach is at Syracuse, they should just have to run the zone forever. That should be Boeheim's legacy. Like I will retire, but you have to run my zone in, in perpetuity for the next hundred years.

Syracuse's next coach, Adrian Autry, did initially state he would use the zone less, and they transitioned toward more man-to-man defense.

What John Calipari said is not incorrect. He just shouldn't say it out loud. They are a basketball school. Like you can't change that. This would be saying like if Notre Dame basketball won a national championship, they wouldn't be a basketball school. No offense to the football program, Kentucky. When you think Kentucky, you think basketball, that's just a fact.

Kentucky's identity remains deeply tied to its blue-blood basketball status. Even with Mark Stoops' successful football seasons, the school's primary brand is basketball.

All Duke players from the 2022 draft will be busts

All the Duke guys are going to be a bust. They can't win when it matters most because they lose when all the pressures on them... they did lose in the Final Four. They did send out their Hall of Fame coach out with a loss.

Washington is a great basketball school. Spencer Hawes, the Pacific Northwest is on the up and up. I mean, you look at the great products. They put out Markelle Fultz, Isaiah Thomas, Spencer Hawes. Coach K... it was revealed that he made $14 million last year... It proves yet again, what coach K said was true when he was, you know, flirting with the NBA. And he said, the allure of coaching in college has no price... He shouldn't also pretend that he's like getting paid nothing. And he just is there for the kids. Whenever I'm happy, whenever anything goes in my life, whenever I'm feeling good or like something Patriots, Celtics, whatever it may be. Bill Self has the second-best active coaching resume behind Rick Pitino

Does Bill Self now, out of all the active coaches, have the second-best resume only to Rick Pitino? This second one for Bill Self puts him in rarefied air and it cements everything that he's done at Kansas. He has more wins than Jay Wright. He has gone to the tournament 23 straight years, and 12 out of those 23 he's gotten to at least the Elite Eight.

While subjective, Self's resume is widely considered top-tier. Pitino and Self are both Hall of Famers with multiple titles at multiple programs (though Pitino's titles are at two different schools).

Coach K's legacy is forever stained by losing his final home game and final tournament game to North Carolina

Coach K's legacy is also forever stained. If Bill Self lost two important games to end his season this year, we would put that as a big dock. He would not be in the Rick Pitino [tier]. Pitino remains unstained.

The games happened, but the 'stain' on his legacy is a matter of opinion. Most fans consider the losses historic, but his overall career remains legendary.
