Tyron Woodley is a live underdog against Stephen Thompson

Tyron Woodley can do it all, and he's going to have to wrestle... he does have the bigger power shot. So to me, plus 166, plus 170... I think there's a little value there... don't sleep on Tyron Woodley. I think he's a live dog.

The fight ended in a majority draw. Woodley was very much 'live' as he nearly finished Thompson, but since it wasn't a win, 'live dog' is partially correct in spirit as he retained the title.

Conor McGregor has a great chance to knock out Eddie Alvarez in the first round

I think there's a great chance Conor McGregor gets [Eddie Alvarez] out of there in the first round, to be honest with you. Connor's that specialist striker... Connor's left hand is no joke man and i don't know i think he lands and he finds it

McGregor did dominate and finish Alvarez, though it happened in the 2nd round (TKO), not the 1st.

Former NFL linebacker James Anderson could clean out the UFC heavyweight division

James Anderson... I've been actually trying to convince to fight. ... This dude could fight. He really could. He is so athletic and violent, and he understands it. And he's not a big name, but he would clean out the heavyweight division.

Anderson never fought professionally in the UFC, so his dominance is theoretical.

CM Punk's MMA debut looked like a big brother beating up a little brother

He got beat so badly... He got tackled and then was just kind of flailing on the ground while the guy just punched him in the face. It was all of like a big brother jumping on a little brother and then hitting the little brother with his own fists. That's what it looked like.

The description is accurate; Mickey Gall dominated CM Punk, winning via submission in just 2:14 of the first round after a one-sided beatdown.

UFC 202 was the best main event fight in a long time

UFC 202, I want to mention it quickly because as a sports fan, that was one of the best main event fights I've watched in a long time. It was one of the most hyped ones probably since Mayweather Pacquiao, but it was so, so good.

The fight is widely regarded as one of the best in UFC history.

UFC 202 will break the all-time pay-per-view record and hit 1.6-1.7 million buys

I had already said and gone on record as thinking that this is going to break the pay-per-view record because it has the biggest name in the sport, Conor McGregor... I think it's interesting with not a ton of star power to see if he can break the record and do 1.6, 1.7 million pay-per-view buys with Nate Diaz largely on their own.

UFC 202 was estimated at 1.6 million buys, which at the time did break the record (or tied it depending on source).

Conor McGregor will win the rematch against Nate Diaz on points

I think Conor is going to fight a more disciplined fight. I think he might have to win on points. But again, I got to be on that side.

McGregor defeated Nate Diaz via Majority Decision (on points) at UFC 202 on August 20, 2016.

Cyborg Santos is only 'hurt' despite a fractured skull because Russell Westbrook played with a similar injury

So hurt or injured. I'm saying hurt. simply because Russell Westbrook had this same injury. He dented his face, and I think he scored like a billion points after that.

The injury was life-threatening and required surgery with a metal plate; Santos never fought again, meaning he was definitively 'injured'.

Brock Lesnar is the scariest human on Earth

The only other takeaway I had [from UFC 200] was is Brock Lesnar, I think, is the number one scariest human on Earth. The fact that he came back after five years and just demolished Mark Hunt... Brock Lesnar, I think, is my number one scariest man on Earth.

Subjective opinion on intimidation.

UFC 200 will still do over one million pay-per-view buys even without Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier

Dana, dude, he's like so immune to this that he doesn't really even get upset anymore. And thankfully, this fight card, even without Cormier and Jones, is as good a main card on pay-per-view as we've ever put together. So I still think you're north of a million pay-per-view buys.

UFC 200 reportedly drew approximately 1.009 million PPV buys, making this correct.

Mark Hunt will knock out Brock Lesnar at UFC 200

Mark Hunt. He's going to knock Brock Lesnar out. It's going to be an all-time internet moment. ... I'm pretty sure he can knock out anyone in the entire world.

Brock Lesnar initially won by unanimous decision, though it was later overturned to a No Contest due to Lesnar testing positive for banned substances. Hunt did not knock him out.

Mark Hunt will beat Brock Lesnar at UFC 200

Brock hasn't fought mixed martial arts since 2011. So I see some value on Mark Hunt. Strong lean for me towards Mark Hunt. I think you always fade a guy who hasn't competed in five years. Even an athlete as exceptional as Brock Lesnar, he's going to have to prove to me that he's back in this space and ready to win against a guy who is in the top ten.

Lesnar originally won the fight via unanimous decision. However, the result was later overturned to a No Contest after Lesnar tested positive for banned substances.

Conor McGregor has no chance against Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match

Conor would have to step away from mixed martial arts and focus exclusively on boxing for like two years to have any sort of chance against Floyd Mayweather. I don't like Conor in that fight at all. ... I don't give Conor much of a chance.

Mayweather defeated McGregor via 10th-round TKO in 2017. McGregor was competitive early but ultimately had no real chance to win.

UFC should start a drug-friendly 'Rogue Fighting League' on boats in international waters

Or it's my my third my third option here is you just start your own fighting league where like all sorts of drugs are okay you do a nine-sided ring instead of eight sides kind of one-ups ufc international waters so there's no testing right on boats yeah definitely on a boat

This is a satirical suggestion and not a real business plan.

Muhammad Ali would never have died if he were a female soccer player

Medically they gave it the name Parkinson's... but actually it was not something, I believe that if he was not a fighter, he would never have died because of that. [If he were a woman soccer player] it would have been safer... and he would have had fewer blows to the head.

While boxing likely contributed to Ali's condition, stating he would 'never have died' if he weren't a fighter is a hypothetical claim.

Kimbo Slice meant as much to our generation as Muhammad Ali meant to our parents' generation

It's a hot take, but it's kind of the correct take. Kimbo Slice meant a lot, too, to us. Because that early YouTube time, when he – do you remember watching those videos of Kimbo just bashing people's skulls in and saying, what the hell is going on? He was the baddest guy I've ever seen.

The impact of internet culture vs. mainstream cultural icons is subjective but culturally significant for millennial fans.

I could knock out Floyd Mayweather in a punch-for-punch fight

Punch for punch. I get three months to train my neck... Punch for punch. I could knock out Floyd Mayweather. People forget Floyd Mayweather is like 140 pounds, and I'm like 230, baby... As long as I can train my neck, that's the only stipulation I get.

While untested, it's widely considered delusional by sports fans, though the physics of a 100lb weight difference in a 'no-defense' punch contest are debated.

Conor McGregor's retirement tweet was a brilliant marketing move to generate buzz

Excellent marketing move on his part... we were all talking about MMA, like in the offseason of MMA, pretty much. So, yeah. Excellent marketing move on his part.

Jon Jones' claim of marijuana addiction is a PR move because it's not a real addiction

Jon Bones Jones today came out and said like, yeah, I used to smoke a lot of weed and now I don't anymore. And so now I'm back on the straight and narrow. ... That's just not really an addiction. They're not going to be mad at you. Like that's just... just not really an addiction.

Conor McGregor's retirement is likely a cover for a steroid issue

I don't think people assume steroids enough anymore. And now this is going to be a hot take, but just follow me for a minute. Conor McGregor, he retired because he did steroids, right? Why isn't anyone saying that?

There was never any evidence that McGregor's brief 2016 retirement was due to a failed steroid test; it was famously a dispute over media obligations.

Conor McGregor will transition to the WWE

Beating death in the ring is the same as beating Jesus

You mean to tell me the nigga lost the Kimbo Slice but beat Jesus? ... If you beat death, that's beating Jesus. Like, Jesus died for our sins, right? So, technically, anybody else that dies, it's because Jesus died, too. So, like, I say that puts you right above Jesus.

50 Cent lied about winning the Golden Gloves

50 Cent is so much of a fan of boxing. First of all, he lied and said he was a fighter. 50, you said you won the Golden Gloves. You came in New York City, came up where I came up at. I won the Golden Gloves every time I fought in them. I know everybody around here. 50, you did not fight in the Golden Gloves.

While 50 Cent was a junior amateur boxer, there is no public record of him winning a Golden Gloves title, supporting Kelly's claim.
