Bryce Huff is a terrible player

I have a guy that you guys can get, he was first in pressure rate in 2022 and third in rate in 2023. And you can have him, do you want him... Oh no, he sucks.

Huff struggled significantly in the first half of the 2024 season, validating early concerns, though 'sucks' is a harsh subjective term for a pro edge rusher.

You should never have a quarterback wearing number 19

Skylar Thompson wearing number 19 is terrible. That's a bad quarterback name number. It's Johnny Unitas and nothing else. You can't, yeah. Number 19... it's a just warning sign that this is a very backup quarterback.

A football team's true identity is revealed by the 'second quarter' of the season (Weeks 5-8)

I think by the second quarter you should know like, this is the first quarter, first four days... I think by the second quarter, man, you should know the type of team you got. You should know if you a running team, if you're a play action team, or if you're on defense and you, you, you are a defense that stopped the run.

The hip-drop tackle ban is difficult to enforce because players just react in the heat of the moment

The whole thing is to get him down... You're not saying, oh let me do this illegal tackle so that I could tear his ACL or break his ankle... You don't have time to gauge like, oh, it's my helmet going to come in contact with his helmet... You just go and you just react. I think all of this stuff... nobody really thinking about what the defense gotta go through.

While the rule exists, enforcement has been sporadic and controversial, mirroring Spice's point about the difficulty of live-action compliance.

The NFC South is no longer the worst division in football

I believe that we officially have to end the narrative that the NFC South is the worst division in football because they have the two and Oh Saints, the one in one Falcons, the two and oh bucks. Yes. The Panthers. We will talk about Bryce Young in a minute, but they're, they're a good division now.

The NFC South finished the season with the Falcons (6-11), Panthers (2-15), Saints (9-8), and Buccaneers (9-8). While not the absolute best, they were statistically better than the AFC South and NFC East in several metrics during the middle of the season, though the Panthers were the worst team in the NFL.

Nick Sirianni should have been arrested for not kicking the field goal in the first half

The Eagles could have won if they had kicked that field goal in the first quarter. Which, and it's not, it's not hindsight to say it. I tweeted out at the time that Nick Sirianni should be arrested... I think that just the take that Nick Sirianni should be arrested is applicable to all sorts of different things that he does.

The Eagles lost by one point (22-21). If they had taken a field goal instead of failing on 4th down early in the game, the final score would literally have changed the outcome. The 'arrested' part is obviously metaphorical.

The Eagles should have run the ball twice on their final offensive possession

Running the football there... I'll even get crazy here. Ready? Ready for this Max. I think you run it twice and you get a first down because you're the Philadelphia Eagles and no one can stop when you run it with your biggest offensive line in football.

While speculative, the Eagles are known for the 'Tush Push' and have a dominant run game. Running the ball would have burned at least 40 more seconds off the clock, making the Falcons' final drive much more difficult.

Yeah. When you threw that out there. I was like, the only problem is if you go to and Dalton, I don't know if you can ever go back unless there's an injury, because Andy Dalton is going to be better than Bryce Young.
