To survive in the NHL when you aren't a superstar, you must focus on being an elite teammate

I knew for me, sticking around, obviously when you're not the best player in the world, you gotta have some other intangibles. And I knew for me as being a good teammate, being a guy that people can trust, you know, just being there for guys no matter what.

Yandle's reputation as one of the best teammates in hockey history supports this as a successful personal philosophy.

The 2022-23 Boston Bruins are the biggest chokers in the history of the NHL

This is bad for the Celtics. This is like, as a city as a whole. You're both, you know, top seeds... the fact that the Bruins lost it almost kind of like sets the tone of like, anything can happen and that's not where you wanna be.

Drafting a quarterback in the first round gives a fan base a one-year pass to ignore all negatives

Drafting Jalen Carter was a genius move for the Eagles, but he would not have worked for the Bears because they lack veteran defensive leadership.

I actually think that it was genius for the Eagles to take [Jalen Carter]. And the Bears did not take him because everything we've heard about him, he needs veteran leadership around him. The Bears do not have that. The Eagles have the opposite. They have a lot of great defensive players, a lot of older Fletcher Cox, like a lot of guys that will help him.
