The Heat are in deep water because they can't match the Nuggets' height

I think [the Heat] are in deep, deep water because they're just, nuggets are better and taller and tall. Tallness matters. Height matters. It does in in basketball.

The Nuggets won the series 4-1, largely dominating the interior.

The Warriors' lack of adjustment against Peyton Pritchard in the 4th quarter was a massive mistake

I don't understand what the warriors were doing where like Peyton Pritchard was on Steph Curry because Marcus smart was on the bench and they didn't attack Peyton Pritchard the entire fourth quarter. It was crazy. Like they just didn't, they, I don't know why they didn't attack him.

The Warriors famously struggled in that 4th quarter, and Pritchard was indeed on the floor for much of the run without being targeted successfully.

The Toronto Raptors are the softest team I've ever watched

The Raptors are the softest team I've ever watched. And having Fred VanVleet take the game-winning shot in overtime, how do you have DeRozan and Lowry and you have these guys... they shrink in every big moment. They're so soft that they made Kevin Love look like the tough guy.

The Raptors were swept by the Cavaliers in this series, confirming the 'soft' narrative for that season, which led to the firing of Dwane Casey and the trade for Kawhi Leonard.

The Lakers were never winning a title because their roster was the problem, not coaching.

I still think that the roster is the problem that they just don't have enough guys. And the Nuggets were a better basketball team no matter how many minutes the Lakers led. Execution and being able to win games late is what makes the team better... They were a good team. They were never a great team.

The Lakers were eliminated 4-1 by the Nuggets and fired Darvin Ham shortly after, confirming the 'failed season' part, though the root cause (roster vs coach) remains a debate.

I attempted to recruit Jeff Green to the Pistons in 2019 free agency but he signed with the Jazz 30 minutes later

I did a few calls, a few texts... his name rhymes with Schmeth Breen [Jeff Green]... I texted him, and literally, I think like 30 minutes later, it was like, Jeff Green has signed with Utah Jazz. I was like, all right.

Jeff Green did sign with the Utah Jazz on July 3, 2019.

The 'sports are better with fans' honeymoon phase will end by Thanksgiving

We're in a nice honeymoon phase where it is incredible to turn on a game and just be like, oh, my God, this is awesome... I think sometime around Thanksgiving, if you're still doing that, if you're still pointing out the extremely obvious sports are better with fans, you're late to it.

By late 2021, full attendance was normalized again and the 'nature is healing' style social media posts significantly decreased.

Kawhi Leonard is gone from Toronto no matter what happens in the Finals

I think he's gone no matter what. I think he's made up his mind already no matter what. There could be a world where he's like, I really love it in Toronto, but losing or winning the finals won't change that.

Kawhi won the championship and Finals MVP and still left for LA.

Jimmy Butler once went an entire summer without watching TV to focus on his game

Jimmy's probably the toughest competitor I've ever been around. And you know, it started right away. He worked his ass off and you know, the sacrifices that he made in the summers were just unbelievable. I mean, people don't know this, but he was going whole summers, no tv.

Butler has confirmed in other interviews he lived in a house without internet or TV for periods to focus on training.

No matter what Kevin Durant does for the Warriors, it will always be Steph Curry's team

No matter what [Kevin Durant] does for the Warriors, it will always be Steph [Curry]'s team in the fans' eyes. And he's never going to be loved, Kevin. Just know that.

Hindsight has largely proven this correct; Curry remained the franchise face and the fans' primary connection even during Durant's two Finals MVPs.

LeBron James robbed fans of a hater moment by making the correct basketball play

I feel so robbed by it because [LeBron James] actually made a very selfless play. A game-winning assist for a buzzer beater. I was really hoping that the situation had occurred where he was trying to force it and he cost him the game. He robbed that from us.

The streak literally ended as described in the episode.

Golden State is better with Kevin Durant than without him

So you think that they're better with Kevin Durant? Yeah, for sure. I mean, I think they were better this year than they were.

The Warriors went 16-1 in the 2017 playoffs to win the title with Durant.

I hope Draymond Green doesn't get suspended for the nut kick because playoff basketball is better with fights and retaliation

The question is, is Draymond going to get suspended for that kick? Because it was a crane kick. It was a Karate Kid shot to the balls. And I hope he doesn't get suspended because I'd like to see some retaliation. That's when playoff basketball really takes off is when there's fights and retaliation.

The NBA decided not to suspend Draymond for the kick in the 2016 WCF, though they upgraded it to a flagrant foul. PFT's wish for 'no suspension' came true.

Joel Embiid will stop being funny on Twitter when he starts playing poorly or getting hurt more

I predicted like a month ago how Joel would not be so funny on Twitter when he starts fucking up. So this is the first one. He's injured like every other day. He's got a lot of time to go back and forth. Take away his umlaut over the Joel. You're just Joel now.

Fans and media have frequently turned on Embiid's online antics during his many injury absences in the playoffs and regular season.

The Timberwolves vs. Grizzlies series is the most fun series to watch because they are the two youngest teams in the NBA

There's a reason why this series is so fun to watch. Obviously you've got great players... [they are] the two youngest teams in the playoffs, two of the five youngest teams in the NBA, which means that you're going to see some guys that have the ability to do like incredible, amazing athletic stuff, but also make really, really stupid, awful mistakes.

The Timberwolves and Grizzlies were indeed among the youngest teams in the league/playoffs that year.

Cameron Boozer was named after Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium

And [Cameron Boozer] was named after the stadium. ... Yeah, it's a fact.

This is a widely reported fact; Carlos Boozer named his son after the stadium where he played college ball.

The Golden State Warriors are officially a dynasty after five straight Finals appearances and three titles

I count anything three and four. I think yes. I'd say three out of four. Absolutely. Three out of five is when you really start to have the conversation. [But] three out of four and five straight finals.

The Warriors' run of five straight finals and three titles is widely considered a dynasty in NBA history.

Go Celtics warriors.

This prediction was exactly correct. The Warriors beat the Celtics 4-2 in the 2022 Finals.

The Golden State Warriors would miss the playoffs if the season ended today (Oct 31, 2016)

If the season ended today, the Golden State Warriors would not be in the playoffs.

At the time of recording, the Warriors were not in a top-8 seed position due to the very early season standings.

The Golden State Warriors will eventually hit a low point once the Kevin Durant honeymoon phase ends

They're going to hit their low point. Just wait. Kevin Durant's lurking. Baby back bitch.

Correct. After Durant left and injuries hit in 2019, the Warriors had the worst record in the NBA (15-50) in the 2019-20 season.

The Denver Nuggets feel exactly like the 2015 Golden State Warriors before they started winning titles

The Nuggets to me feel like... the Warriors in 2015. Where the feeling I have watching them feels very similar to when the Warriors were first, before they ripped off all their titles... People thought they were a great regular season team, but too soft, too jump-shooting. I feel very similar things watching this Nuggets team.

The Nuggets went on to win the 2023 NBA Finals shortly after this, validating the comparison in the short term.

Kevin Durant is getting one more ring and then leaving the Golden State Warriors

Kevin Durant, baby back bitch, tweeted... 'one down, 81 more, what a night.' His brother, Tony, Tony Durant, replied... 'fill in the hand up before we get out of here.' Hmm. So it looks like he's going to L.A. So he's getting another ring, and then he's getting the fuck out.

Correct. Durant left the Warriors for the Nets following the 2019 season (though the prediction specifically mentioned LA, the core 'getting out' part was right).

The Golden State Warriors are officially 'back' and look like a championship team again.

The early returns in round one, it screams, yes, this is looking like not only a very, very dangerous offensive team, but once again, with Draymond [Green] they're a very good defensive team... it seems like they're back guys... And what I keep telling people is if the Warriors get out of the West, that's six trips to the finals in eight years.

The Warriors won the 2022 NBA Championship, defeating the Celtics in 6 games.

The Golden State Warriors are better than the Houston Rockets and will win the series

I still think Golden State is better. I'm not buying into any of the stuff that happened at the end of the season and how they finished. They didn't care. But I'd imagine that they would burn them, you know, the first couple games.

The Warriors defeated the Rockets in 7 games to advance to the Finals.

The Golden State Warriors' dynasty is officially over

This mother fucking league cat Warriors are dead Warriors. Karma is empty. They empty the tank on the karma. Steph Curry is trash.

Skip Bayless will be the first person to publicly hate on Zion Williamson

I think it's going to be Skip that starts the train with it. He's going to test the waters early in the season and be like, I think Zion's going to have trouble staying under 300 pounds.

Skip Bayless was indeed one of the first and most vocal mainstream critics of Zion Williamson, specifically targeting his weight and health.

Big Baller Brand is officially coming to an end

Big Baller Brand is in hot water. It might be the end of Big Baller Brand... Lonzo Ball's manager apparently stole like a million and a half dollars from him. So he got fired... yeah, they're just, it's probably, probably the end of Big Baller Brand.

The brand effectively collapsed as a major entity shortly after this, with Lonzo covering his BBB tattoo and the family eventually acknowledging the business was in shambles.
