I'm betting on Michigan to cover against Villanova because water always finds its level

Or you bet on Michigan like I'm going to because water always finds its level.

Villanova won by 17 (79-62), covering the 6.5 point spread. Water did not find its level for Michigan.

Saint Mary's was the worst team I've ever watched and their game against Alabama was boring and terrible.

That was the worst college basketball game I think I've ever seen. It was so bad, like boring and bad to watch. Saint Mary's is the worst team ever, worst team I've ever watched. How was this team a fucking seven seed? They sucked.

The game was statistically low-scoring and featured poor shooting, though 'worst ever' is hyperbole.

Marquis Noel is the best individual performance I've ever watched in the tournament

It was the best game I've ever watched in my life out of a single player. Like you can, you can point to other individual performances in the tournament... but the way that he took over the entire court was unreal.

You watch college basketball to see Duke players cry after tournament losses

If you are not a Duke fan, you watch college basketball for the moment that Luke Kennard and Grayson Allen cry during the tournament after they get stunned by a 10-seed. That's why you watch.

Duke did indeed get upset in the 2017 tournament, losing in the second round to 7-seed South Carolina, which featured plenty of crying/upset Duke players.

John Scheyer lost because he wore a black sweater instead of a gray one

The game was decided well before that, before the boys even stepped on the court because Scheyer wasn't wearing the sweatshirt. They were wearing the same sweaters, different color black... The gray one was way better.

A superstitious take that cannot be factually validated.

Oregon is a bad matchup for North Carolina due to a lack of size

I do think North Carolina is going to win. I think they're the better team. And they're a bad matchup for Oregon... [Oregon] has athleticism. They do not have—they have a little length. A lot of athleticism. No size.

UNC out-rebounded Oregon 43-37, including two critical offensive rebounds on missed free throws to seal the win.

Oregon will beat Arizona in the second round and Caleb Love will shoot 3-for-21

I have Oregon, beating Arizona in the second round. Because that will be, I think that's gonna be the Caleb Love masterpiece. Yeah. I think he'll go three for 21 for 14 points.

Arizona defeated Oregon 87-83 in the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Caleb Love actually scored 29 points for Arizona, leading them to victory, not shooting poorly as predicted.

Wisconsin is going to lose in heartbreaking fashion. That's going to be fun... South Carolina will probably win on a buzzer beater right in my face. I'll have front row seats.

Wisconsin lost to Florida (not South Carolina) on a buzzer-beater by Chris Chiozza in the Sweet 16. The spirit of the prediction was eerily correct.

Oregon State is the greatest team of all time

Oregon State, Loyola Chicago. Oregon State is just the greatest team of all time. And I'm going to say that about pretty much every team, just be warned that I don't have a lot in my repertoire right now, but they are the greatest team as of right now.

Oregon State reached the Elite Eight as a 12-seed, an incredible run, though they obviously weren't the greatest team of all time as they lost to Houston in the next game.

Wisconsin will bounce back from their loss to Oregon because Greg Gard will rip them apart

Best thing that ever happened to Wisconsin was that [loss to Oregon]... they're gonna go back in the lab. Greg Gard is going to rip his team apart over the next couple of days. Wisconsin can still be trusted.

Wisconsin did not bounce back from their Oregon loss to make a deep tournament run. They were a 3-seed but were eliminated in the Round of 32 by 6-seed BYU.

Oregon's definitely the weakest one seed, but then you've got to look at their bracket. Because they were blessed to have Duke in their bracket, the committee always gives Duke the easy ride. By proxy, Oregon also got the easy ride.

A broadcaster will not get a Power 5 head coaching job like Oklahoma State

I just don't see places like Oklahoma State, like Power 5 Jobs, going to broadcasters like us. I would find that kind of hard to believe, but you never know.

Historically, this remains mostly true for Power 5 jobs, though some (like Juwan Howard or Penny Hardaway) had other ties. Gottlieb did eventually get the Green Bay job in 2024, which is not Power 5.

Michigan obviously beat Wisconsin Big 10 title today. Dusty May called it correctly. He was like, our team needs a reset. They got their reset and then they won the big 10 tournament and they looked really good doing it. So maybe they've turned the corner and gotten that reset they needed.

Texas does not to be deserved to be in. They're bad if like Drake gets kept out instead of Texas. If Drake doesn't win their conference, I'll be very upset. I'm gonna say it right now. Drake deserves to be in no matter what.

Drake did make the 2025 NCAA Tournament but via automatic bid (winning the MVC tournament), not an at-large bid. They were a #11 seed and beat Missouri in the first round. The take was about deserving an at-large bid, which became moot since they won their conference.
