Lane Kiffin will leave Ole Miss to coach LSU

I feel like it's gotten the point where you, if I had to guess I would say LSU. [Lane Kiffin] is probably gonna leave. I'm changing my, I know I said like two weeks ago I didn't think he was gonna leave.

Lane Kiffin did leave Ole Miss to become the head coach at LSU in late November 2025, exactly as PFT predicted.

James Franklin simply cannot win a 'big' game

James Franklin can't win the big one. Nope. It's the same game every year, the same exact game. We watched the same thing that we've watched every time.

Franklin's record against Top 10 opponents is statistically poor, supporting the claim that he struggles in 'big' games.

You have to be smarter in the year 2025 than to fall for Paul Finebaum's WWE act.

If you get mad at Paul Finebaum at this point and you don't understand that, you're just playing into the WWE act of Paul Finebaum... you gotta be smarter in the year 2025 to be able to fall for Paul Finebaum's trap. It just, you gotta be better.

Finebaum is widely recognized by media critics as a 'character' or 'entertainer' who leans into controversy for ratings, making PFT's claim factually grounded.

I will fight anyone who says Indiana shouldn't be in the playoff

I will fucking fight. If you find someone online who's saying Indiana should not be in the college football playoff—tag me snitch. Tag 'em. I just—I wanna fight 'em.

Georgia is the exception to the three-loss rule because they played the hardest schedule in the country

Georgia is the exception to me. Georgia has actually what every SEC fan keeps saying... Georgia has played an incredibly difficult schedule. They have the hardest in the country.

Georgia was selected for the playoff despite three losses, validating Big Cat's view of them as an exception.

Jayden Daniels should and will win the Heisman

Jayden Daniels. Eight touchdowns against Georgia State... He is now the favorite to win the Heisman... I don't think that you can honestly make a case that it should be anybody except for Jayden Daniels.

Jayden Daniels was awarded the 2023 Heisman Trophy.

I think as a group we should get behind Jaden Daniels plus 550. I think we should get behind Jaden Daniels make that bet and try to bang on that drum... we have to do is basically propaganda stats of Jaden Daniels to get everyone in the world being like, did you know Jaden Daniels actually better than everyone else?

Jayden Daniels did indeed win the Heisman Trophy in 2023.

Miami's loss to Georgia Tech is the literal worst loss of all time.

Miami maybe the worst loss of all time. The literal worst loss of all time. Mario Cristobal with 35 seconds left, ran the ball instead of kneeing the ball. ... Incomprehensible.

Widely considered one of the worst coaching blunders in college football history because kneeling would have 100% guaranteed a victory.

Herm Edwards is a total fraud for the mess he left at Arizona State

My who's back is Herm Edwards being a fraud because Arizona State has a bull ban... He's on ESPN giving speeches about, you know, upstanding character and doing the right thing. And he just left this mess in his past. So he is a total fraud.

Edwards was fired mid-season and the program later self-imposed a bowl ban for violations committed under his watch.

Caleb Williams is already better than the current crop of NFL draft prospects

The UCLA USC game was fucking awesome. Caleb Williams is insanely good. Insanely good... I saw some people saying like, why are we talking about this next year's draft? Why aren't we talking about the year after with Caleb Williams?

Williams won the Heisman in 2022 and was the consensus #1 overall pick in 2024.

I think UNC might be the greatest team to watch in college football. There's so I feel like it's just gonna, you wanna talk about maximum chaos? I feel like that's gonna be UNC every single weekend.

UNC games remained extremely high-scoring and chaotic throughout the season.

NIL recruits who underperform will be roasted like professionals

I realized now that how bad this is going to be for the kids. If they suck. Oh yeah. They're going to get roasted. Cause there's always been the, oh, they're just kids. Well, a five-star is getting nine and a half million dollars and he stinks. People are going to fucking cruise.

This trend has largely come true in sports media and social media since NIL began.

Maryland Terrapins completed a perfect 18-0 season beating Cornell in the national championship game. Crazy. Their past two seasons have been pretty insane because they are 33 and 1... they're an absolute wagon.

Texas Longhorns football is officially back to their 2014 levels of embarrassment

Texas football is officially back. When I say back, I mean back to where they were in 2014, when for the only time in the last 70 years, they went through an entire NFL draft where they did not have a player taking the entire [time].

That's why we should expand the playoff. And guess who's the only one to blame for not explaining the playoff. Oh yeah. That's ACC... make it 12.

Coaches like Brian Harsin worrying about elevators is exactly why Nick Saban continues to dominate college football

Every time we hear something like this [Brian Harsin banning elevators], it makes you realize why Nick Saban just keeps kicking everyone's teeth in. Cause these guys are worrying about elevators and stairs and Nick Saban is just rolling out five star recruits... and just demolishing people.

Nick Saban went on to win the SEC and make the CFP title game in 2021, while Harsin's tenure at Auburn was a noted disaster.

I am getting back on my take from earlier that I think that Clemson could beat Alabama. I really think they could. I think Dabo... Dabo is as close to Nick Saban as this next generation of coaches is going to get.

Clemson crushed Alabama 44-16 in the National Championship game, making this take 100% correct.

Kyler Murray should win the Heisman Trophy over Tua Tagovailoa because his efficiency metrics are better.

If you want another take that you want to throw out there... Kyler Murray for Heisman. And then everyone says, but Tua didn't play fourth quarters. And you say, well, if you take away Kyler Murray's fourth quarters, he still has better numbers than Tua. Boom.

Kyler Murray won the Heisman Trophy on December 8, 2018.

Urban Meyer's sad faces on the sideline because Ohio State lost a game that they should have won... people are saying, not me, people are saying, Urban Meyer, can he get his team ready for the inferior opponents? I don't know... but this is now becoming a trend for Urban Meyer.

Meyer finished 2018 with another Big Ten title but the loss to Purdue kept them out of the playoff, supporting the idea that one slip-up to a 'lesser' team was a pattern.

Wisconsin is out of the national title race after losing to BYU

The one redeeming quality about Wisconsin Badger football fans is we are realists to a fault. I never, we're not, we're out of the national, you know. It's not going to happen. We could win every game and it still wouldn't happen. You can't lose as 23 and a half point favorites.

Wisconsin finished the season 8-5 and was nowhere near the playoff, so Big Cat was correct to write them off.

I will not believe Texas football is 'back' until they win a meaningful bowl game

I am firmly in the camp of I will not listen to any Texas who's back until they actually play in a meaningful bowl game... I feel like Texas every year, they're back, and they're going to go 7-5.

Gene Smith, you are pretty much fucked and Urban Meyer's just gonna say yeah he told everyone and it's your fault for not doing anything.

Lane Kiffin definitely knows the spread and plays to it

I've said this for many years, that Lane Kiffin is one of the only coaches that I will put my fucking life on it, that he knows the spread and plays to the spread. He used to do it at Tennessee, too, where he would go for two in random spots. I know Lane Kiffin knows the spread.

I also have a theory that I'm working on that Sam Darnold's not actually good, but his interceptions look good. So even when he makes a bad play, you're like, this guy's good.

Darnold's NFL career has been defined by high interception numbers (legacy 'good looking' bad plays), validating the spirit of this take.

Notre Dame is heading in the wrong direction

If you had to describe Notre Dame for the last seven years, it's perfectly this. Are they back? Question mark. They've been almost back, sort of back, never fully back. But I think now they're going the wrong direction. Now they're set back.

Notre Dame went 4-8 in 2016, their worst season in decades, so this was a highly prescient take.
