Josh Rosen is built for the NFL and will save Jim Mora's job

I love [Josh Rosen] because not only does he think he is good, but he thinks it and he knows it. I think he's kind of set up for the NFL. He's got to play well to save some jobs like Jim Mora's job.

Jim Mora was fired in November 2017, just months after this take. Rosen was a top-10 pick but became a notable NFL bust.

Florida State is a good bet to cover the spread against Alabama in Week 1

Alabama is going to go about a seven on Florida State. The Noles, pretty good. Pretty good football team. Quarterback coming back. You might want to take a flyer with the points on something like that.

Alabama defeated Florida State 24-7 on Sept 2, 2017. Alabama covered the 7-point spread.

LSU's new live tiger mascot will lead the team to a top-tier offensive season

I think this tiger is going to be the good luck charm for LSU. I think they're finally going to realize how to run an offense down there, and it's only going to be because of their new mascot.

LSU's offense was still mediocre in 2017 (ranked 76th in scoring offense), though they did improve significantly years later under Joe Burrow.

If there's somebody who's able to undermine and sneak around and steal somebody's job, it's definitely Chip. Chip is a behind-the-scenes Shakespearean villain. He's going to be doing everything that he can to make sure he gets that job.

Lane Kiffin is toxic and will never get hired by another school that matters

I argued in favor of Kiffin for a long time. I really liked him. But in being down at the national championship and being with all the people that matter in college athletics, he's even more toxic today than he was a year ago because of this incident. I don't think anyone else will hire him. He would have to upset somebody of epic proportion to get on a radar screen of a school that really mattered.
