The 2017 Stanley Cup Final will go to seven games

Where do you see the last three games going? I think it goes seven. I mean, you say that it looked like it wouldn't have been a long series... I think home team's going to win game five, Nashville's going to win game six, and then kind of a coin toss in game seven.

The Pittsburgh Penguins won the series in six games, winning Game 5 and Game 6.

There is no evidence of a team-wide steroid program for the Penguins.

I'm destined to see Ovechkin win a Stanley Cup with a different team

The Washington Capitals are... Our fans, we're entering cuck territory. And it's Ray Bourque all over again. So I'm destined over the next five years to see Ovechkin win a Stanley Cup with a different team. And for me to cry during it and be like, I'm so glad and applaud him and be like, I'm glad he finally got his chance.

Ovechkin won the Stanley Cup with the Capitals the very next season (2018).

The Nashville Predators winning the Cup will be forgotten like the Hurricanes or Ducks wins

I'm rooting for the Predators simply because when teams like the Predators win championships with like their piss yellow uniforms and weird cities for hockey, people just tend to forget that that season never happened. So it's like when the Ducks won, it's like, I mean, did they win? I don't even know. I can't remember.

I'm so confident that I'm pre-planning out tonight's game with the Rangers and the Senators. I'm like, okay, so we've got to have the Rangers win. That way I can go to all the Caps games in New York City for the Eastern Conference Finals, and then we're going to skate through them... The 'Crosby Theory': A team gets better after losing its best player

I think it's fair to ask now if the Penguins are better without Sidney Crosby... If you lose your best player, but your team gets better, the Crosby theory.

Sidney Crosby is one of the greatest players of all time; the Penguins were objectively not better without him, though they did win games in his absence.

Sidney Crosby was only injured because there is a lack of fighting in modern hockey

The real issue is Sidney Crosby only got hit in his head like that because there's not as much fighting in hockey as there used to be. Because if this was back in the good old days, then players would know you can't go after another player's head like that. So the Penguins, they're too big of pussies. And they have no enforcer, so they are the ones that got Sidney Crosby injured.

The Penguins won the Stanley Cup anyway, and Crosby returned quickly, but the logic about fighting preventing head hits is highly debated and largely scientifically unsupported in the concussion era.

I'm pretty sure the Capitals, I haven't gone deep into their cap next year, but I'm pretty sure they won't be able to bring everyone back. They won't be able to make a bunch of trades. They're probably not going to be as good. So next year, you probably won't think it's your year.

You know what I don't like about playoff hockey is that there's basically no home ice advantage. It doesn't exist. The ice is the same everywhere you go.

Hockey helmets have increased concussions because they evolved the human skull to be thinner

I actually think that helmets have done more to increase concussions in hockey than they've done to help because it's like evolution. It kicks in a little bit and your brain, your skull doesn't have to be as thick anymore. Like the way that we coddle these athletes, it's actually hurting them in the long term.
